what to order when at sadelle’s
Sadelle’s is my favorite brunch in the city (and I hate to say that because it’s kind of basic, and it’s a chain). Why? The restaurant feels like an elevated, old-fashioned Jewish deli with a little bit of dramatic flair (some of the ideas for the restaurant came from Mendl’s in The Great Budapest Hotel), the people watching is all time and the food is actually really, really great (albeit overpriced).
Order:
House salmon - the smoked salmon is incredible, so fresh, and the bagels are out of this world.
Pigs in a blanket
Latkes
Any of the salads - I particularly love the freddy and the greek.
Tuna melt
Next time I go, the whitefish salad bagel is top of my list.
