what to order when at misi

I would argue the best pasta in New York City. All the dishes are simple and really fresh, made with high quality ingredients. The food is phenomenal, they have great wines, and the restaurant vibe is modern, sleek, minimalistic.

Order:

  • Whipped ricotta crostini - absolute must get.

  • Grilled Italian broccoli

  • Grilled baby artichokes

  • Mezze rigatoni

  • Buffalo butter fettucini

  • Spinach and mascarpone filled tortelli

  • Sheep’s milk ricotta filled occhi - this is my favorite pasta at Misi.

  • Gelato - all of them are amazing.

Note: most of the pastas have a brown butter / cream sauce. I’d recommend making sure you get at least one red sauce option so you have more variation and it doesn’t feel as rich.

Could do without:

  • Bucatini - the flavor is really good, but there is something about the dried tomatoes in the overall texture of the dish that I don’t love.

On my list to order next time:

  • Gnocchi sardi

  • Chitarra
